About
A Woolly Scrub is a bar of soap wrapped in wool, making a soft and durable casing. This soap and washcloth-in-one acts as a gentle exfoliant. Woolly Scrubs make affordable and thoughtful handmade gifts.
Woolly Scrubs are currently available in eight delightful scents, as well as unscented. Enjoy the natural fragrances of aloe vera, almond, boreal forest, cucumber, jasmine, lavender, sandalwood, and superior mint. The circular soap feels satisfying in your hand and becomes sudsy when lathered vigorously in the shower, sink, or sauna. It leaves no mushy soap in your soap dish, won’t stick to your sauna bench, and lasts much longer than a traditional bar of soap. A Woolly Scrub also makes a fragrant sachet in your dresser drawer.
The Soap
Woolly Scrub soap is a plant-based castile soap made with whole natural, cruelty-free and organic ingredients, using the traditional kettle process to carefully blend non-GMO cold pressed oils of certified sustainable palm and coconut. It is produced without the use of animal products and never tested on animals. The glycerin cream soap is exceptionally mild, skin friendly, and made fresh daily in small batches before being hand cut, air dried, and aged.
The Wool
Woolly Scrub wool is homegrown on family farms in the Midwest. The undyed sheep fleece is washed, picked, and carded before each bar of soap is hand wrapped with wool roving and felted in place, with a colorful spot of wool to indicate the specific soap fragrance. Felting is an age-old natural process. Using soap, water, and agitation, the wool is transformed into a durable casing. The wool shrinks as the soap is used, leaving you with a small wool pad which can then be recycled for other uses such as a natural fiber soap dish or a scrubby for pots and pans.
